Morgan Dal
After a PhD on the multiphysics simulation of arc welding and on the development of a function estimation method (estimation of a melting front by inverse method), Morgan Dal is now associate professor (Accreditation) at the PIMM laboratory (EMSAM Paris), since 2012. Today head of one of the PIMM laboratory's four research teams (Laser Processes), he carries out both numerical and experimental activities. Specialized in the simulation of laser applications such as welding or additive manufacturing, he is also active in instrumentation, in particular for the validation of simulations (temperature measurements of the molten metal by high speed imaging) and for measurement of thermophysical properties (surface tension, viscosity , …), essential for simulations.
