María Teresa Pérez Prado

Dr. Teresa PÉREZ-PRADO is Senior Scientist and head of the Sustainable Metallurgy group at IMDEA Materials Institute since 2008. She was Head of Department between 2014 and 2017 and Deputy Director between 2017 and 2021. Since 2018 she is also Manager of the programme on Structural Materials at the Spanish National Science Foundation. Dr. Pérez-Prado got a PhD in Physics at the Complutense University in Madrid in 1998 and an MBA at INSEAD in 2008. After a postdoctoral stay at the University of California she joined the National Center for Metals Research (CENIM, Madrid, Spain) in 2001. Dr. Pérez-Prado has coauthored 130 papers (h 42, ≈6250 citations (Scopus)), 1 book (Elsevier, 2004) and patents. She has advised 9 PhD theses and has acted as PI in 21 research projects.
