Clément Ernould
Joined IRT Saint Exupéry in Toulouse a year and a half ago as a research engineer in metal additive manufacturing. Works on post-processing of laser deposition of metals with powder components and develops physical approaches to identify process windows in laser powder bed fusion. Previously defended a thesis in materials science at the University of Lorraine at the end of 2020, which focused on the development of advanced characterization techniques in scanning electron microscopy. Followed by two years of post-doc, including one in Belgium at Université Libre de Bruxelles on the nocivity of defects in additive manufacturing. First research experiences as an undergraduate in the field of mechanical surface treatments, at the IRT M2P in Metz (France) and at the Fraunhofer Institute of Materials Mechanics in Friborg (Germany).
