Thierry Baffie

Thierry Baffie is a research engineer at CEA Grenoble / LITEN, France. He got his engineering degree in Materials Science and Engineering at Polytech’Montpellier (1996) and his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (2000). He is an expert of metal/ceramic and metal/metal high temperature brazing, and has some experience in soldering and sintering. He has been involved in more than twenty industrial or academic research projects and was project leader for 6 of them, including H2020 SUPREME project. Since 2016, he is in charge of Laser Powder Bed Fusion process development for Iron-, Nickel- and Copper-based materials and is developing an expertise in Powder-based Metal Additive Manufacturing processes.
