Pierre DIAZ is an Additive Manufacturing Engineer and DED-LW expert at Addimadour, the advanced manufacturing platform of ESTIA (École Supérieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées), located in the Pays Basque region of France. He has been working at ESTIA since November 2014 and joined Addimadour at its creation in May 2017, following the launch of its first metal additive manufacturing projects in July 2016. Pierre has contributed to the structuring projects of the platform, such as Transfron3D, Addispace, Additool, Hindcon, etc., taking part in both project management and technical implementation, particularly in the development of additive manufacturing processes. He currently leads the DED Laser Wire unit and works in direct collaboration with industrial partners, supporting the development and optimization of processes tailored to their needs. In addition to his R&D activities, Pierre is also involved in ESTIA’s academic programs, sharing his expertise in metal additive manufacturing technologies. His cross-functional role in engineering, education, and industrial collaboration reflects his commitment to innovation, knowledge transfer, and technological impact.
