Prof. Cecilia Persson leads large national and international research networks within AM such as the AM4Life Competence Centre as well as the EU MSCA Doctoral Network Print4Life. She is also the Scientific Director of the WISE Additive RTP, a national infrastructure in AM. Her research focuses on biomaterial development for and through additive manufacturing. She has authored more than 140 journal publications on biomaterials and has attracted funding to a value of more than 60M€ from the Swedish research council as well as the EU and other funding bodies. The work of Prof. Persson has been awarded several scientific and innovation awards, including the Research Award of the Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials Research Award (2024). She is the co-founder of spin-off company Inossia AB, which provides a material tailored for the osteoporotic spine.
